Strombolicchio

Handcrafted Strombolicchio Ceramics from the Mangiallegro Line

Strombolicchio is a small rocky islet rising from the sea just off Stromboli, in Sicily's Aeolian Islands. Shaped by ancient volcanic activity, its distinctive silhouette lends its name to a pattern from the Mangiallegro line, part of Ceramiche De Simone's extensive collection of designs inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the Mediterranean.

The Strombolicchio pattern captures this Mediterranean spirit through a stylized bird with simple shapes and vibrant colors. Shades of red, orange and yellow blend with green and blue details, creating a playful, expressive figure that reflects the unmistakable artistic language of Giovanni De Simone. Bold lines and striking color combinations give the design its distinctive personality.

This pattern is part of Ceramiche De Simone's tradition of handcrafted and hand-painted Sicilian ceramics. Each creation celebrates the skill of the artisan and the originality of the artwork, preserving the character of the design whether it appears on a plate or a small decorative object.

Strombolicchio: Hand-Painted Ceramic Dinnerware Sets and Home Decorations

The Strombolicchio pattern is available on round ceramic plates in a variety of sizes, suitable for different dining occasions. Choose from dinner plates, soup plates, fruit and dessert plates, add pizza plates, or complete your table setting with larger pieces that can also be used as serving plates. The different sizes allow you to create a personalized ceramic dinnerware set, selecting the pieces and quantities that best suit your needs.

For a coordinated table setting, you can choose the Strombolicchio design for every plate or combine it with other Mangiallegro patterns. Table accessories featuring different designs offer even more opportunities to mix and match, creating distinctive combinations for everyday family meals or special dinners with friends.

The Strombolicchio design also decorates an egg-shaped ceramic box, bringing the same artistic motif and vibrant colors to an entirely different form. Displayed on a shelf or sideboard, or chosen as a thoughtful gift, this decorative piece offers another expression of De Simone's original artwork. Here too, traditional craftsmanship and hand-painted decoration are essential to the character and value of the creation.
