Solunto

Handcrafted Solunto Ceramics from the Mangiallegro Line

Solunto takes its name from an ancient city near Palermo, connected with Sicily's Phoenician, Punic and Greek history. In the Mangiallegro line, that geographical memory becomes the name of a Ceramiche De Simone design.

The pattern's appeal does not depend on depicting an archaeological site. History opens up an association, while expressive brushwork creates its own visual world, bringing De Simone's artistic sensibility into everyday objects.

In Solunto, the creative legacy of Giovanni De Simone is expressed through free brushwork, colour and the pleasure of bringing art into everyday life. Each ceramic piece is handcrafted and hand-painted.

Solunto Dinnerware Sets and Hand-Painted Ceramics for Everyday Life

Build a dinnerware set to suit your table: round plates in the Solunto pattern offer choices for dinner, soup, fruit and pizza plates, with sizes and quantities selected individually. For on a summer table, appetizer dishes and serving platters provide more ways to share food. Coordinating table accessories bring the setting together, while other Mangiallegro patterns can be mixed in for a more personal combination.

The Solunto pattern also belongs to the quieter moments between meals. Ceramic mugs fit naturally into breakfast or an afternoon break, while espresso cups carry the same design into an after-lunch coffee. In the kitchen, you can also discover kitchen accessories, including cutlery holders, bottle and utensil holders, oil and vinegar sets, bringing the artwork into practical daily routines.

The design also appears in the bathroom, with soap dispensers and toothbrush holders. For other rooms, the collection also includes ceramic vases and plant pots in the Solunto design. These are handcrafted, hand-painted ceramics, chosen for both their practical purpose and Ceramiche De Simone's distinctive artistic decoration.
