Round decorative ceramic plate made entirely by hand by our artisans and hand-painted with the Roasting Chestnuts subject from the DS line. With its 30 cm diameter, the plate portrays a lively everyday scene inspired by the preparation of roasted chestnuts, transforming a simple tradition into a small ceramic painting filled with colour, characters and playful charm.
At the centre of the composition, the chestnut seller tends to the roasting beside a tall brazier, from which large swirling clouds of smoke rise and bring movement to the scene. Other figures gather around to share the moment, while prickly pears, trees and small birds complete the setting. Bright yellows, reds, greens, blues and earthy tones come together within the characteristic bold outlines of the DS style, creating a cheerful and expressive story in the unmistakable artistic language of Ceramiche De Simone.
